The objectives of AXYS are:
- To promote and support the well-being of individuals and families affected by sex chromosome variations including XXY, XYY, XXX and related variations
- To provide support, information, guidance and advice to all persons, parents and family members, relating to day to day challenges and available strategies and tools for children and individuals affected by sex chromosome variations including XXY, XYY, XXX and related variations
- To provide support and information to individuals and their families living with XXY, XYY, XXX and other related X & Y chromosome variations
- To raise awareness and to provide information to education, allied health and health professionals and the wider community on XXY, XYY, XXX and other related X & Y chromosome variations
Work towards improving diagnoses rates and support of the newly diagnosed in prenatal, children and adults - To help increase the accessibility to early intervention, educational and employment support to ensure individuals with an X & Y chromosome variation including XXY, XYY, XXX and related variations will achieve their fullest potential.
- To advocate and lobby on behalf of individuals and their families affected by X & Y chromosome variations including XXY, XYY, XXX and related variations
